Core Galaxy S4 specification confirmed as per rumours
The specifications for Samsung's incoming Galaxy S4 smartphone have been revealed by a benchmarking app. Check out our Samsung Galaxy S4 launch: live coverage.
An unknown user has benchmarked a Galaxy S4 handset with AnTuTu revealing the smartphone's core specifications. As predicted, the Galaxy S4 uses Samsung's Exynos Octa 5410 processor clocked at 1.8GHz which was announced at CES. See also: Samsung Galaxy S4 release date, specs and rumours
It was up in the air as to whether the Galaxy S4 would use this 8-core chip or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 for its LTE capability. The Exynos will be accompanied by 2GB of RAM and a PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU.
The benchmarking app also confirms that the Galaxy S4 will use a 4.99in display with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, just like the Sony Xperia Z. This will go with the traditional capacitive back and menu buttons as well as a physical home button.

The listed operating system is exactly as rumoured, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The AnTuTu benchmark app shows the Galaxy S4 scored 24,849 compared to the Nexus 4's 17,890.
Other specifications have also been confirmed including a 13Mp rear camera, 2.1Mp front facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and internal storage of either 16GB or 32GB.
This leak covers all the main specifications of the Galaxy S4 which will be unveiled on 14 March in New York. The real information we want to know now is what software features will be on offer. Samsung released a teaser video for the Galaxy S4 today but gave nothing away.
