Medibank aims to reduce delays for online, mobile customers with HP software

Medibank plans to deploy software to better measure performance of its online member services platform and smartphone app, HP announced today.

Medibank will deploy HP business service management software to monitor IT infrastructure and identify areas that may be causing delays for online and mobile customers, HP said.

HP didn't disclose the terms of the contract.

Increasing customer demand for Medibank online and mobile services has placed greater pressure on the private health insurance company's infrastructure, according to Medibank.

"Our customers demand 24/7 access to service applications and we needed to meet this expectation," said Cornel Viljoen, Medibank general manager of architecture, design and security.

"With HP BSM software, we can better anticipate any potential IT problems. This ensures that our service platforms are continuously available to our customers, ultimately increasing their satisfaction."
