HTC launched its new flagship smartphone the HTC One today. The HTC One, previously rumoured to be called the HTC M7, is the Taiwanese manufacturer's follow up smartphone to the HTC One X and HTC One X+. The HTC One / M7 launch is taking place today in London at 3pm GMT.
The HTC One / M7 has a 4.7 Full HD (1920 x 1080) screen, powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core processor. This brings the new HTC flagship phone neatly inline with other big smartphone launches such as the Sony Xperia Z, Huawei Ascend D2 and ZTE Grand S.
Further specifications for the HTC One include 2GB of RAM, Android Jelly Bean with Sense 5.0, a 12Mp camera and 32GB of storage. See also HTC M7 flagship smartphone leaked online.
HTC followed the growing trend by avoiding launching its smartphone at shows such as MWC (taking place in Barcelona next week). The reason for this seems to be that companies do not want their biggest launches of the year to have to fight for media attention alongside the hundreds of other product launches that happen at these events.
