Luxury mobile phone maker, Vertu, has launched its Ti smartphone with a price tag of £6,700.
If you want a designer smartphone, the latest one on offer is the Vertu Ti. This flashy Android smartphone is handmade in Hampshire and will set you back a cool £6,700. The handset launches this month. See also Group test: what's the best Android phone
Massimiliano Pogliani, global chief marketing and communications officer at Vertu, said: "Vertu Ti is the most rounded product that we have ever designed. The new Android platform and elegant physical presence combined with Vertu's renowned curated benefits and services deliver a unique and exceptional proposition."
The Vertu Ti is packed with a 1.7GHz processor, 8Mp rear camera, 1.3Mp front facing camera, 64GB of storage and NFC. Although it has a bumper price tag, the Ti comes pre-loaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich rather than 4.1 Jelly Bean.
A key feature of the Ti is the Vertu Key. This gives the user access to curated content and services including Vertu Certainty to protect the Ti, Vertu Life, tailored information and benefits and Veru's Concierge Service.
Vertu uses a polished titanium case for the Ti and said it has the largest sapphire crystal screen ever engineered at 3.7in. The firm claims the Ti means customers needn't leave the house in the morning with any other device.
Perry Oosting, CEO of called it Vertu's "most significant product for a decade."
