HTC's incoming M7 smartphone is rumoured to be announced on 19 February.
Rather than the expected reveal at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, HTC's M7 will be unveiled on 19 February. The yet to be announced smartphone will probably get its own dedicated London event, according to UnwiredView. See also: Samsung Galaxy S4 launch and release dates revealed.
The news comes via Twitter from an insider who said: "Let's say that with many years of work in the field I have my connections."
It wouldn't be the first time HTC has launched a new handset in London but we'll have to wait and see. HTC doesn't comment on rumours and we haven't had an invite to any such event yet.
The upcoming flagship smartphone was leaked last week, shown as a render from a short video clip showing users how to insert a SIM card. It is set to be the firm's second Full HD phone after the HTC Butterfly. See also Group test: what's the best Android phone.
A more recent image, shown above, gives a much more detailed look at the device, although we can't confirm whether it is accurate or not.
Rumoured specifications for the HTC M7 include a 4.7in Full HD (1920 x 1080) screen, a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, Android Jelly Bean with Sense 5.0, a 12Mp camera and 32GB of storage.
