The Week in iOS Accessories: CES-travaganza, Part 2

The Week in iOS Accessories: CES-travaganza, Part 2

More from CES

The annual Consumer Electronics show brings us so many iOS accessories that we're doing multiple roundups this week. Here's the second. (You can also check out the first.)

Braven

This audio maker has unveiled three new speakers at CES, including the $169 BRV-1 (pictured), a portable wireless speaker made for outdoor use, and the less-rugged-but-still-portable $120 Braven 570. Also introduced this week, but without details on the company's website, is the new Braven 850, a wireless speaker system that can also charge your iPad and iPhone.

Griffin Technology

Griffin has long been one of the most-prolific accessory makers out there, and it shows at CES: The company has unveiled a host of new products, including the Wood Tones Audio Line of headphones, a number of kid-friendly accessories in cooperation with Crayola, new versions of the company's Survivor case for iPhone 5, and several cartoon-branded cases. One of our favorites is the $100 PowerDock 5, which charges up to five iOS devices at once.

iBattz

CES is proving to be the launchpad for a number of iPhone 5 accessories, including the $90 Mojo Fuel (pictured), a removable battery case that provides an extra four hours of life to your phone, and the $99 Mojo Armor, which offers more hardware protection but slightly less additional power than the Fuel.

IK Multimedia

This maker of iOS accessories for musicians has three new products out. The iKlip 2 (pictured) lets users adapt their mic stand to hold an iPad or iPad mini; the iKlip Stand is a desktop stand for tablets; and the iKlip Studio is a similar, adjustable desktop stand.

JBL

Debuting at CES from JBL are the $400 OnBeat Rumble (pictured), a Bluetooth-enabled speaker dock, and the $150 Charge, a portable, rechargeable Bluetooth speaker system.

PhoneSuit

This battery maker has a few new products at CES, but the flagship device is probably the $80 Flex Micro Battery Pack, which comes in two versions: one for older iPhones, and one compatible with the new Lightning connector on the iPhone 5.

PowerSkin

This company has debuted three new battery cases for the iPhone 5, including the new PowerSkin Pro line of cases, pictured at left, featured in five bright colors.

Scosche

Gotta take the tunes everywhere, right? Scosche's new BoomBOTTLE is a wireless Bluetooth speaker designed to fit in the water-bottle cage on your bike to let you enjoy your music everywhere you go. Scosche hasn't yet provided pricing or availability information.

Withings

A man talks to his iPhone, says: "iPhone, what's wrong with me?" The iPhone says: "You're fat." The man says, "I want a second opinion." The iPhone says, "OK, you're ugly too." The great thing about the new Smart Body Analyzer is that it will track your weight and your vital signs--but it will never insult your looks.
