Google Nexus 4 goes on sale at Three

Sold out on the Google Play Store but Nexus 4 on sale with Three

Google Nexus 4

Google's Nexus 4 smartphone has gone on sale with mobile operator Three.

The popular smartphone is available to purchase from Three despite being sold out on the Google Play Store. You can pick up a Nexus 4 on The One Plan for a £29 upfront cost and a two year £35 per month contract. Group test: what's the best Android phone?

Sylvia Chind, head of devices at Three, said: "The Nexus 4 has a beautiful design and impressive hardware specs so our customers will be able to truly enjoy all the benefits of the mobile internet with this new smartphone."

Best smartphones of 2012

"It’s a great complement to our award winning network and it’s no coincidence that we were recently awarded ‘Best Network’ for the second year running at the 2012 uSwitch Mobile awards."

If you don’t fancy Three's contract deal then you can get the Nexus 4 on Pay As You Go for £299. The smartphone has a 4.7in screen, 8Mp camera, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Google put the Nexus 4 back on sale earlier this month but the handset quickly sold out in both 8GB and 16GB models which Google sells for the bargain prices of £239 and £289 respectively. Shoppers were facing with a shipping estimate of a few weeks, even if they did manage to snap one up.

The iPad rivalling Nexus 10 is also sold out on the Play Store with no alternative retailer to buy it from leaving consumers wanting it for Christmas frustrated.
