iOS App Store Update not working

Apple's App Store is not updating apps; still works for downloads

Apple is continuing to have problems with its online services, with iOS App Update being the latest service to stop working.

Owners of iOS devices (iPhones, iPads, and iPod touch) are reporting that the device returns an "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" error when the Updates button is tapped.

Apple recently had problems with its iTunes Match service, and iMessage, FaceTime and Game Centre.

The error message is unlikely to mean anything beyond gremlins in Apple's server system, and we're confident Apple will get it up and running again shortly.
