Google has announced that its Nexus 4 smartphone will go back on sale at 5pm today on the Google Play Store in the UK.

The Nexus 4, Google's latest smartphone made by LG, went on sale on 13 November but quickly sold out of both 8GB and 16GB models. The smartphone will be available again today, 4 December, from 5pm with prices starting at £239. See also: Google LG Nexus 4 vs Apple iPhone 5 comparison review.

Google emailed those sign-up for more information on the Nexus 4 with an alert about the new stock.

Demand for the Nexus 4 will be extremely high since the handset has rave reviews and the spec of a high-end smartphone with a mid-range price. It's almost certain the Nexus 4 will sell out again but Google hasn't detailed how many units will be available later today. Group test: what's the best Android phone?
