Big Data & Text tariff offers unlimited data and airtime credit
Virgin Media has announced two new pay as you go smartphone tariffs offering users unlimited data for £10 per month.
The new tariffs are called 'Big Data and Texts’ providing unlimited data an 300 texts, and 'Big Talk' offering unlimited landline calls plus 120 anytime mobile minutes. At £10 per month, Virgin Media said the plans are 'market leading' when compared to the competition.
Jamie Heywood, director of mobile at Virgin Media said: “Unlimited data is a must to get the most out of the amazing smartphones available today. People want to be connected wherever they are so we’ve introduced unlimited data without the ties of a contract.
Users can add unlimited texts to either of the tariffs for an extra £5 per month. Unlike rival operators, the £10 subscription also counts as mobile credit.
Virgin Media said it came up with the tariff because it has seen a 100 percent increase in the amount of data its pay as you go users consume. It's the kind of deal you would want to combo with the SIM-free LG Nexus 4.
