Steve Jobs worked closely on design overhaul for iPhone 5

Sources claim that Jobs helped redesign the iPhone before he died

Steve Jobs worked closely on a complete design overhaul of the iPhone for the next-generation of Apple's smartphone.

That's according to Bloomberg, which reports that three people with knowledge of the plans claim that the iPhone will have a bigger screen, and that Apple's late co-founder was a big part of the redesign plans before his death in October 2011.

According to the report, a source has said that Apple has been working on the new iPhone since before the iPhone 4S was launched in October.

It has also been reported that Jobs wanted to build an iCar before he died last year, and sketched design ideas for new products while in hospital.

Recent reports suggest that the next iPhone will have a 4in screen, and could look like one of these mockups. Apple has also been cutting back on production of the iPhone 4S in the run up to the launch of the new iPhone.

Yesterday, Apple won control of the iPhone5.com domain, and analysts have predicted that the iPhone 5 will boost the mobile market in the second half of 2012.
