HTC's One X and Evo 4G smartphones are facing an import delay at US customs.
Smartphones in limbo while under investigation
The firm's device shipments which are awaiting entry to the US are being held back. The pair of handsets are delayed while US Customs investigates whether they infringe an Apple patent, according to The Verge.

HTC said: "The US availability of the HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE has been delayed due to a standard U.S. Customs review of shipments that is required after an ITC exclusion order."
"We believe we are in compliance with the ruling and HTC is working closely with Customs to secure approval. The HTC One X and HTC Evo 4G LTE have been received enthusiastically by customers and we appreciate their patience as we work to get these products into their hands as soon as possible."
Last December Apple won a ban on multiple HTC Android devices from the International Trade Commission. The body found that the messaging and browser apps infringed an Apple patent which involves creating actionable links from things like phone numbers.
The ban was extended until 19 April to give HTC time to correct the problem. Although HTC is confident that the smartphones are within the rules of the exclusion order, things are in limbo until Customs makes its final decision.
