Samsung Galaxy Note gets Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade

Complete with Premium Suite as promised

Samsung has started rolling out its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) update to Galaxy Note owners. Updated 11/05/12

According to an XDA developers post the update is available in Germany and totals 319MB. Samsung has confirmed that the update is available and sent us the following statement.

"Premium Suite update for Galaxy Note is available in Germany from May 10 and will be gradually rolled out in other parts of the world. We will be able to provide details regardng the update schedule in due course." it said.

The firm announced the update back in March and only gave a release schedule of the second quarter, which we're almost half way through. The news comes shortly after Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S3 smartphone.

As promised the software upgrade includes the additional Premium Suite with a new S Note app for better note taking and productivity and a new S Memo widget.
