Carphone Warehouse lists Samsung Galaxy S3

A confirmation of the name and that it's a smartphone

The Carphone Warehouse has accidentally listed the Samsung Galaxy S3 as a coming soon smartphone. See also Samsung Galaxy S3 review.

The smartphone retailer put the device in its coming soon section listed at the Samsung Galaxy S3 with a small thumbnail of the handset. This has since been taken down and replaced by a Samsung logo and the words 'the next Galaxy device'. See also: Samsung confirms Exynos quad-core chip for Galaxy S3.

It's another confirmation of the name and at least confirms that Samsung will be unveiling a smartphone since it is listed under coming soon mobile phones. Visit Samsung Galaxy S3 launch: as it happened.

Samsung Galaxy S3 tech specs, design 'revealed'

The news follows mobile operators Vodafone and O2 confirming they will sell the device. Neither of which called it the Galaxy S3. The Carphone Warehouse hasn't let any details slip about the handset but has a registration page saying: "Your next Galaxy coming to Carphone Warehouse on all major networks." Samsung has been building the hype around the device by way of a Galaxy S3 teaser video. It then confirmed the Galaxy S3 name when it released an Android app for the launch event next week mentioning the name several times. Go to Samsung Galaxy S3 specs and pictures.
