Samsung has revealed the name of the next Galaxy device as the Galaxy S3 with an Android app.
Nine days to go and we have a name
The firm has released a free Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2012 on the Google Play Store for the launch event next week. The description of the app contains numerous references to a mobile product and the Galaxy S3 name. See also: Samsung confirms Exynos quad-core chip for Galaxy S3.
Samsung's list of keywords include: "samsung, mobile, unpacked, galaxy, s3, unpack, Samsung, Galaxy, Unpacked, Mobile and galaxyS3." Visit Samsung Galaxy S3 vs HTC One X comparison review.
It's possible that Samsung is just using the terms to enhance the 'searchability' of the app but in our opinion it effectively confirms the name we've all been assuming for months. One this is for sure and that is that Samsung has been on overdrive creating hype around the device. See also: Group test: what's the best smartphone?
Yesterday Samsung released a Galaxy S3 teaser video ahead of the launch and today Vodafone confirmed it will sell the next Galaxy device.

The app has sections for press releases, new product and unpacked live but don't get too excited as these aren't accessible until the 3 May launch event. We'll be there so make sure to come back to PC Advisor at 7pm for live coverage.
