Samsung to reveal Galaxy S3 on 3 May

Official invites are sent out

Samsung has released invitations to a press briefing on 3 May for its 'next Galaxy' device.

Although the invitation does not mention that the device is the Galaxy S III, it's what's being tipped across the web. Rumours about the illustrious smartphone have been in full flow recently after the firm decided not to unveil the phone at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The tag line of the invite simply says "come and meet the next Galaxy device". PC Advisor received the invitation this morning which confirms the event will take place in the evening of 3 May in central London. Visit Samsung Galaxy S3 vs HTC One X comparison review.

It's anyone's guess as to what the Galaxy S3 will offer, if that's what Samsung even launches. Some rumoured specifications include a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, quad-core processor and wireless charging. For all the rumours check out our Samsung Galaxy S3 release date, specs and rumour round-up.

For now we'll have to wait until May and see what other information crops up between now and then.
