Phone 4U's Samsung launch is a 'store within a store'

Not a Galaxy S3 or any other Galaxy device

Phones 4U and Samsung have revealed that the launch scheduled for tomorrow is a Samsung branded floor within the Phones 4U Oxford Street store.

We caught wind of the launch last week after Phones 4U put a giant Samsung logo in the window with the words "Coming 30.03.12". Unfortunately the launch is not for the Galaxy S3, recently announced Galaxy Beam or the Galaxy Note 10.1.

Simon Stanford, vice president of telecommunications and networks at Samsung said: "We’re extremely excited to be working with Phones 4u to open this ‘store within a store’ in the heart of London. As well as being able to buy products, we want the store to be an immersive and enjoyable experience for our customers."

Samsung explained that a mezzanine and large part of the ground floor of the shop will be dedicated to its products. 'Play tables' will host Samsung's hero products such as the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab range.

As well as a wall covered in Samsung's entire range of contract handsets there will be a 32-inch TV showing off the firm's AllShare wireless streaming technology.

Interestingly the venue will be used for celebrity appearances and, more importantly, future product launches.

John Welsh, director of retail development at Phones 4U said: “This partnership between Samsung and Phones 4u combines expertise, reputation and product innovation, and we’re excited to be bringing our customers an interactive and customer focused Samsung experience at our flagship store in Oxford Street.
