Apple keeps iPad 2 - cuts price

Apple keeps the iPad 2 but drops the price to £329

Apple has announced that the iPad 2 will still be on sale for £329 for a 16GB, Wi-Fi only version.

The move follows a similar successful strategy with the iPhone, with older models remaining on sale at a lower price while new models are introduced. The iPad 2 has 16GB of storage and a version with Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity will cost £429.

The new, lower price, will help Apple to ensure that the iPad remains the most popular tablet on the market. The iPad is expected to take 75 per cent of the tablet market during 2012.
