If you want to keep tabs on Wednesday announcement while relaxing with a beer and other like-minded people, the London Mac User Group will be holding a free event at The Wood pub in Marylebone from 5.30pm.

Though LMUG can't promise that there will be a live video stream from California, there will be three projector screens to display news, videos, Twitter posts, feeds and blogs relating to the event.

The LMUG will also be recording a live roundtable podcast with the British Tech Network following the event to discuss the announcement.

You can find out more about the event on the LMUG's website or Facebook page.

The Wood pub can be found at 21 Balcombe Street, London, NW1 6HE. The nearest tubes are Baker Street and Marylebone.

Apple's announcement is due to begin at 6pm GMT and Macworld will have live text coverage of the event.
