Adobe Photoshop Touch app released for Apple iPad

Adobe Photoshop Touch app released for Apple iPad

Adobe has released its Photoshop Touch app for the Apple iPad 2 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) exhibition in Barcelona. See all MWC News.

Photoshop Touch is the second of Adobe's Touch Apps to be released for the iPad as well as Android devices, after Adobe Ideas. The other four Touch Apps - Collage, Debut, Kuler and Proto - are currently available for Android-only, but are expected to be available for the iPad in time for the launch of Creative Suite 6 and Creative Cloud in the first half of this year.

Photoshop Touch gives users the ability to combine multiple photos into layered images, make edits and apply effects to create artwork, touch up photos, paint, lay out ideas and more. The Scribble Selection Tool allows users to extract objects in an image by scribbling on what to keep and, then, what to remove.

With Refine Edge technology from Photoshop, Adobe says that even hard-to-select areas with soft edges are easily captured when making selections.

Adobe Photoshop Touch is available in the iTunes App Store for £6.99/$9.99. The app will run on iPad 2 running on iOS5.
