Edit your Christmas pics with Snapseed, free today

On the seventh day of Christmas Apple gave to me... Snapseed for editing photos

Apple is continuing its 12 Days of Christmas promotion. The promotion kicked of on Boxing Day and will run until midnight on the 6 January in the UK.

Today's 12 Days of Christmas offer is Snapseed, a photo editing app from Nik Software.

Snapseed is an image-editing tool that enable the user to apply a variety of filters including Grunge, Vintage and Drama as well as an Auto Correct function that automatically analyses your photo and adjusts colour and exposure.

You can use your fingers to make precise selections and enhancements with the Local Adjust function. This lets you tap an area in your photo that you want to enhance and swipe your finger up or down to select Brightness, Contrast, or Saturation, which you can then adjust by swiping your finger left or right. Apple has run the 12 Days of Christmas promotion in the UK over the days following Christmas over the past few years. This year the company promises a range of free presents via the iTunes Store that will include a selection of songs, music videos, applications, books, TV episodes and a films that are free for 24 hours each day.

The offer runs from Boxing Day to the 6th January. Check back here everyday to see what you could be downloading for free.
