Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Year Anniversary Edition will be available for iOS in the App Store next week, Rockstar Games has said.
Announcing the launch of the game on its blog Rockstar said that it would be compatible with the iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and the iPod touch (fourth generation).
It'll launch on Thursday 15 December and cost $4.99. Rockstar hasn't confirmed the UK pricing yet but apps that cost $4.99 in the US usually cost £2.99.
There will also be an Android version launching on the same day, compatible with the HTC Rezound, LG Optimus 2x, Motorola Atrix 4G, Motorola Droid X2, Motorola Photon 4G, Samsung Galaxy R, T-Mobile G2x handsets and Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Dell Streak 7, LG Optimus Pad, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1, Sony Tablet S, Toshiba Thrive tablets.
The game has been launched to commemorate the series' 10th anniversary. In October 2001 Grand Theft Auto III, a game in which you play a small-time criminal at the bottom of the food chain in Liberty City, was launched.
GTA III came to Mac OS X for the first time in November 2010.
