Sky Movies app for iOS launched

Find out what's on and set up remote recordings

Sky TV customers can now find out more about what's on the Sky Movie channels with a new app for iOS.

The app will tell you what's going to be on Sky Movies and Sky Movies Box Office and lets you set up personalised lists of films you want to watch. You can also remotely set up recordings through the app.

There's plenty of information available about the films, such as a synopsis, trailer, cast list and reviews of the movie in question.

The Sky Movies app can be downloaded for free from the App Store and is compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, and requires iOS 4.3 or later.

Sky Movies director Ian Lewis said: "We are really pleased to be able to add the Sky Movies app to our already strong offering of iPad and iPhone apps. Combined with the Sky+ and Sky Go apps, customers now have even more ways to discover and enjoy the films they want to watch, either at home or on the move.

"We continually strive to give our customers the best possible movie service and this is just one additional feature out of many we have planned for Sky Movies over the coming months," he continued.

An Android version of the app is planned for next year.
