RIM Announces BBX Operating System

The PC World story "RIM announces BBX operating system," which ran on Tuesday, incorrectly characterized the new operating system. The deck and third paragraph have been corrected on the wire.

The deck now reads: At BlackBerry DevCon in San Francisco, RIM says that future tablets and BlackBerry phones will have the same operating system.

The third paragraph now reads: The operating system will allow developers to work with a large number of open developer libraries. RIM will seek out various open source libraries and port them so developers can work on them immediately for their BBX apps.
