Box offers 50GB free for life

File storage and sharing developer running iOS freebie for fifty days

File storage and sharing developer Box has announced that it is giving away 50 GB of free lifetime storage to anyone who uses a Box Personal account on an iOS device.

Box Social Media Manager Mark Saldana said the 50 GB of storage isn't just limited to your mobile device - you get it anywhere you use your Box account, such as on your laptop at home or your desktop at the office.

This promotion starts at midnight tonight and runs for only 50 days, but you need to visit the app store and download the Box app for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, then register through the app.

Saldana also said users will find that their accounts will have an increased file size upload limit of 100MB instead of the usual 25MB.

The company has also updated its app to version 2.4.3. New features include wireless streaming of Box content using AirPlay to an Apple TV for projection of photos, videos, presentations and more.
