Fei Long and Yun Join Street Fighter IV Volt Cast

Your mobile platform just got a boost of Hong Kong martial arts action. Bruce Lee pastiche Fei Long joins the cast of Street Fighter IV Volt for the iOS along with baseball-cap-wearing skateboarder Yun. To celebrate their arrival on the mobile platform, Capcom is offering a temporary price drop for the game from $6.99 to $2.99 through September 19th on the iTunes App Store.

Street Fighter IV Volt is an upgraded version of the original Street Fighter IV release on the iOS. Volt has some noticeable upgrades including online multiplayer via Game Center and more characters than the original SFIV offering. Street Fighter purists may slight the mobile version for its easier combo system and few buttons, but the ability to play as some of your favorite characters on your phone has endeared the mobile series to a whole new group of gamers. Who wouldn't want to practice Fei Long's flame igniting kick while on the bus to work?

The addition of Hong Kong fighters Yun and Fei Long puts the number of playable characters at a whopping 22. And given Capcom's propensity to constantly update the title, you can likely expect more to come.

Capcom also revealed that in addition to putting Street Fighter IV Volt on sale for $2.99 until September 19th, famed arcade brawler Final Fight will also be on sale until September 21st for $0.99, down from $2.99. Finally, Capcom revealed that players might want to start their practicing their hadoukens and yoga fires-- Capcom will be holding a Street Fighter IV Volt tournament this Fall, though details are still to come.
