The mobile phone recycling price comparison site, found the iPhone 3G (8GB), 3G (16GB) and 3GS (16GB) took the top three slots in June for popularity amongst those selling unwanted phones or looking to upgrade.

SellMyMobile notes almost 20,000 iPhones were recycled via its site during last month alone reports PC Pro, due in part to the launch of the iPhone 4.

The price comparison site also adds that Apple's latest iPhone has caused the resale value of older models to fall significantly.

Currently, the iPhone 3G and 3GS maintain the top three slots in SellMyMobile's most popular charts, while the iPhone 4 and iPad top the most valuable phones listings.

SellMyMobile claims to be the UK's number one mobile phone recycling price comparison site, based on July 2010 Hitwise Data in the Phone Recycling Comparison sector.
