3 unveils iPad 3G data plans

Tarrifs start from £7.50 for 1GB of data

3 has become the latest UK mobile network to launch a tariff for the Apple iPad.

3 joins O2, Orange and Vodafone in offering 3G data plans for Apple's slate PC, which goes on sale this Friday, 28 May.

Under the promise 'No other network gives you more data for your money', 3 will offer the option of 1GB of data for £7.50 or 10GB for £15.00 per month.

Both 3 data plans will be available without a contract, providing the freedom to activate or cancel a plan at any time. Full details can be found at 3's dedicated webpage.

"3 is pleased to offer competitive data plans for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G in the UK," said Marc Allera, sales and marketing director at 3.

"Our network, the largest in the country, has been optimised for the mobile internet, ensuring our customers enjoy the very best mobile performance on iPad."

3 launched the UK's first 3G network offering national coverage for calls and texts, and claims it has 93.95 per cent population coverage for 3G. The company has more than 5.8 million active customers in the UK and over 26.8 million worldwide.
