Follows bug fixss in Apple iTunes 7.7.1

Apple has released iPhone software 2.0.1, an update to the original software released with the iPhone 3G, and usable with all iPhone models.

According to Apple, iPhone software 2.0.1 contains "bug fixes".

The 249MB update is only available by connecting the iPhone to your computer and downloading through iTunes. iTunes will then prompt you to install the software and take care of the update procedure.

At the end of July, Apple released iTunes 7.7.1. According to the notes provided by the company, iTunes 7.7.1 “includes fixes to improve stability and performance”.

Apparently at least five items have been fixed including corruption of accented artist names, a bug that prevented CDs from being ejected, iPods not being recognized, long iPhone backups and a sync issue with Outlook.

iTunes 7.7.1 is available via the software update mechanism in Mac OS X. Windows users can download Apple iTunes 7.7.1 for PC.
