Telegraph.offers mobile content for free

3G & WAP users have £5 subs fee waivered

The Daily Telegraph is offering free mobile content to 3G iPhone owners and users of other 3G- and WAP-enabled handsets.

News, sport and travel articles can now be accessed from the Telegraph's mobile site. While the £5 per month subscription charge previously in place has now be waivered, users will still be subject to web-surfing costs set by their operator.

Initially the mobile site will not carry adverts, however they may be introduced to the site at a later date.

"As each section of the website gets a new look and feel, it will be added to the mobile site as well," said Aashish Chandarana, the product development manager at Telegraph Media Group.
