Check BA flight times with new 3G iPhone App

Passengers can book flights through new app

British Airways (BA) has launched an app for the 3G iPhone which will allow passengers to access real-time arrival and departure information, as well as view the BA timetable and book flights.

BA developers Andy Qua and Justin Davis are behind the app for the new version of Apple's handset, which was launched last week.

"When it was demonstrated to the BA Innovations team, it was immediately taken onboard for full commercial development, " said Paul Coby, CIO at British Airways.

"The iPhone is revolutionising mobile communications and allows us to provide instant access to arrivals and departures information which will enhance the experience of travelling with BA."

Coby added: "We're always seeking to improve the service our customers enjoy by the smart use of innovative technology and the iPhone is a fantastic way to achieve this."
