A new patent has emerged that suggests Apple has been thinking about an iPhone nano.

The diagrams show a iPod nano sized handset with a screen on the front and a touch-sensitive surface on the back.

Apple often patents ideas that never make it to market. However, the fact that such patents exist may well indicate an iPhone nano is imminent.
