ACS offers smartphone management service

Managed Mobility Service offered to businesses

Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) has launched a Managed Mobility Service, which it says is a one-stop service that will set up and maintain smartphones for business users.

ACS says it can undertake every task from setting-up the device, to managing content, loading applications and even securing the handset, all of which happens remotely.

ACS also says because it's not unified to any manufacturer or network, it can perform these tasks remotely in a number of countries. This allows the user to be travelling and still have apps and content loaded to their device.

"CIOs are increasingly asked to support mobile workers regardless of their device, network, location, access or application. ACS Managed Mobility Services removes these headaches with a one-stop solution, said Chris Tranquill managing director, ACS Communication and Consumer Goods group.

The company estimates that ACS Managed Mobility could offer cost savings of between 15 to 20 percent to businesses, as it will also offers service plan management, usage reports and contract aggregation.
