Mobile web usage in the United Kingdom has more than doubled in the past year, with unique-user growth rising by nearly 50 percent, according to a new report.
Browser developer Opera has released its latest State of the Mobile Web report, which provides information on the top global trends affecting the mobile Web.
According to Opera's report mobile web page-view growth is up 113.6 percent since April 2008. Unique-user growth is up 48.1% in the same time period. Page-views per user are as high as 217.

Regarding its own performance over the past year Opera claims that in April 2009, Opera Mini had over 23.4 million users, up more than 140 percent compared to April 2008.
Opera Mini users viewed nearly 8.7 billion pages in April 2009. Since April 2008, page views have increased 249 percent.
