T-Mobile G1 handset owners will be able to download paid-for apps for their phones from tomorrow.
Google revealed last month that it was giving developers of apps the ability to charge for software that was available through the Android Market store. However until now, it has remained silent as to when this would happen.
T-Mobile's Regan Whitehead said today: "From tomorrow, UK customers will have paid apps on the phone, and there'll be a wide selection of paid apps on the market".
The mobile network said that 20 percent of its customers have chosen the Android-based handset. T-Mobile even suggested that it was challenging Apple's iPhone customer base.
