Orange first to offer PAYG BlackBerry

BlackBerry Pearl 8120 will cost £145

Orange is the first UK network provider to offer a BlackBerry handset on a pay-as-you-go tariff.

The BlackBerry Pearl 8120 costs £145 and will be made available from next month on any existing PAYG tariff, although users will be required to pay a £5 monthly subscription charge.

Pippa Dunn, director of PAYG for Orange UK said: "With nearly two thirds of UK mobile customers now using PAYG, we are really pleased to be bringing one of the most popular email and multimedia devices to the masses as the first operator to offer BlackBerry on PAYG in the UK".
