T-Mobile G1 gets YouTube channel

Get video tips on using the handset online

T-Mobile has launched a YouTube channel dedicated to the G1 - the first mobile phone to use Google's Android software platform.

Users can log on to the G1 channel on the video-sharing site to pose questions about the handset and get written and video answers to their queries. T-Mobile says the channel will be constantly updated with new content including short clips on how to use the phone and tips and tricks.

"Social networking is a huge part of life for many of our customers, so launching a channel on YouTube was the next step in order to ensure our customers get the quality of service they deserve," said Brendon Cooling, head of online, at T-Mobile.

Described by T-Mobile as "the phone that's built for the internet" offers users GPS, wireless web browsing and support for Google Apps. The touch screen handset also benefits from a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a 3.2Mp camera.
