LogMeIn has launched an application that allows iPhone or iPod touch users to use the devices to remotely access their PC or Mac.
LogMeIn is a simple system that allows users to install a program on their PC or Mac and then, provided the computer is switched on, access the files on the machine from anywhere with internet connection.
LogMeIn Ignition for iPhone and iPod Touch is available from Apple's iTunes App store and is priced at $29.99 (£19.50). Once downloaded onto an iPhone or iPod users can then simply connect to the web using Wi-Fi and access their PC or Mac.
"Now, iPhone and iPod Touch users who need to access important programs and files on any of their LogMeIn-enabled computers can do so easily over an encrypted, secure connection," said Kevin Farrell, vice president and general manager for digital living at LogMeIn.
