Outrage over drug dealing iPhone app

Controversial game free from Apple's App Store

A drug dealing game for Apple's iPhone has raised concerns from families affected by drug addiction.

Underworld, which will be made available for free through Apple's iTunes App Store later this month, allows players to buy and sell drugs including ecstasy and cannabis. The game also uses the handset's GPS so players can 'deal' from real locations such as their street corner, and lets players access information other 'pushers' in the area and track the price of their deals.

The app was initially called Drug Lords but was renamed to get past Apple's censors. The apps manufacturer A-Steriods declined to comment. Charity Drugscope accused it of "trivialising significant harms", according to The Sun.
