Report: Vodafone makes first UK iPhone call

Uncertainty over UK iPhone hack

According to a report on the Unofficial Apple Blog, one enterprising iPhone owner has succeeding making the first phone call using Apple’s new handset in the UK. He claims to have used Vodafone's UK network, months before the device is due to become available over here.

The unnamed man bought a prepaid card for AT&T – the network used by the iPhone in the US – via eBay and claims he got Vodafone staff to add the SIM to his UK mobile contract using a bit of lateral thinking and an O2 XDA handset.
