Apple iPhone listed on Amazon.co.uk

Amazon lists iPhone - but it's not for sale

Amazon has listed Apple's hybrid iPod and mobile phone on its UK store. But the iPhone isn't available for sale via Amazon in the UK.

Amaon has listed Apple products before launch in the past. At times it has let slip confidential details such as shipping date or final price in advance of any official announcement from Apple.

However, inclusion on the retail website isn't always an accurate reflection of any plans to ship a product. Amazon listed iLife 07 before Macworld San Francisco, but the software hasn't yet been announced.

The page detailing the iPhone simply states: "This item is not in stock or has been discontinued."

The store also lists details of the device, taken from Apple's existing iPhone marketing materials.

The Apple iPhone was released in the US on June 29. It is expected to be released in the UK later this year.
