Gigabyte on Thursday introduced its Windows 8 lineup, including a slate, a convertible ultrabook and gaming laptops--all of which are powered by Intel processors. What Gigabyte didn't announce, however, were prices and availability for its Windows 8 offerings.

Apple's high-resolution Retina display now comes in another portable configuration, as the company unveiled a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display on Tuesday that complements the 15-inch model introduced over the summer.

Prior to Tuesday's press event, Apple promised that it had "a little more" to show us. News: 3G Chromebook appears on Amazon, Newegg for $330
When Google announced its new Samsung-built 11.6-inch Chromebook Thursday critics noted the new mobile PC won't support 3G or 4G. But for road warriors who want baked-in cellular connectivity, it appears Google will in fact supply a 3G version of the new browser-in-a-box priced at $330, an extra $80 over the Wi-Fi-only price.
