Currys and PC World let owners personalise Advent laptops

Have your own photo printed on the laptop case

Currys and PC World owner Dixons Retail are giving laptop owners the chance to personalise the cover of their new machine.

Brits that purchase a new Advent laptop, available from Currys and PC World, can then log on to Advent's dedicated cover site and upload their own photo or choose from 150 pictures in the image gallery to adorn the front of their new laptop.

The service, which costs £29.99, is available on four models in the Advent range; the Advent Sienna 510 and 710 or the Modena M101 and M201. The laptops start from £329.99.

"We are the only high street electrical retailer to offer personalised laptop covers at the moment, and we're expecting strong take-up of the service as it is a great idea for a Christmas gift," said Alison van Veggel, senior marketing manager at Dixons Retail.

"Our research suggests that customers are looking for ways to differentiate their laptops from their family and friends, and this is the perfect solution."
