RM offers 9in XP-based Eee PC for £285

Minibook offered to schools and students

UK education IT supplier Research Machines (RM) has released Asus' Windows-based Eee PC under its Minibook brand.

RM's Minibook version of the 8.9in Eee PC 900 with Windows XP Home - including 12GB storage and 1GB memory - is available now to schools for £285, while the original 7in Minibook costs £225 with XP installed.

Tim Pearson, CEO of RM, said "These devices mean that no pupil in the UK should be disadvantaged by not having access to the very best learning and the very best technology."

RM continues to offer the original Minibook models with the Linux-based operating system.
