Fujitsu to launch mini laptop at IFA

YouTube clip gives first glimpse at 'Amilo Mini'

Fujitsu Siemens is to enter the mini laptop market with at IFA. Few details are known about the computer but it can be seen in a YouTube video (see below) and appears to be about the same size as competing mini-laptops.

The machine is likely to be detailed at a Fujitsu Siemens news conference on August 28.

The entire mini-laptop sector barely existed a year ago but was brought to life when Asus launched its Eee PC in June 2007. Several models of the computer have now been launched and numerous other PC makers have also launched mini-laptops to capitalise on the low-cost segment of the market.

IFA is one of the world's largest consumer electronics shows and takes place in Berlin from August 29 until September 3.
