VoIP service Skype is offering web users free access at over 200,000 Wi-Fi hotspots this week as part of Europe's first ever Internet Week.

Skype Access lets web users pay for Wi-Fi use by the minute using credit from their Skype account. However, until 23:59 on November 12th, web users can simply load up Skype at a compatible hotspot and surf the web, send emails and make Skype-to-Skype VoIP calls in the UK at no cost.

More than 100 events will take part in London this week as part of Internet Week Europe, which aims to celebrate the very best of Europe's digital industry.

Internet Week Europe is being run in conjunction with Nicolas Roope and Nick Farnhill, the founders of Pokelondon.com.
