A new service enables users to roam anywhere along the 22km stretch of the River Thames and its banks without experiencing any interruption to their internet connection.

Thames-Online has created a mesh network that allows users to connect to the internet using its network at unlimited locations around the Thames, including coffee shops, bars and even while surfing the web outside.

There are dozens of access points as part of the network but they will be seen as one continuous hotspot from whichever location you connect from. It’s even possible to surf the web while travelling up and down the River Thames in a boat.

Users can access the network either using a rolling monthly subscription or a pay-as-you-go deal. The service costs £2.95 for one hour’s access; alternatively a day of pay-as-you-go access will cost £5.95. A week’s access will cost £7.95 and one month is priced at a subscription rate of £9.95. The range of wireless broadband service will be extended over the next two months.
