Pipex has launched a cut-price broadband offer costing £8.95 for three months, and £14.99 per month thereafter.

Those signing up to the new Pipex Mini deal – which is available for the next two months - also get a free wireless router. The offer is subject to a 12-month contract, and customers must have a BT line.

"This offer provides a very compelling option for customers," said Dominic Crolla, managing director of Pipex’s residential division. "Recently recognised as a top five provider by uSwitch and Epitiro for customer satisfaction and technical performance, we’re able to give customers the best of both worlds.

Pipex's ISP business – including Pipex Homecall, Pipex Internet, Switch Telecoms and Toucan Residential - was sold to Tiscali last week for £210m. However, Pipex's business services, web hosting and Pipex Wireless were not part of the deal.
