iTunes users can now get their hands on a number of ITV programmes including Cold Feet and children's show Captain Scarlett.

The broadcasting company is making over 260 hours of television available to download from Apple's iTunes store. Cold Feet, Captain Scarlett and Brideshead Revisited are already available with Inspector Morse and The Saint due for release later this year.

"ITV has thousands of hours of classic content in the archive which we are bringing to a whole new audience," said ITV executive Dawn Airey.

ITV is also looking at making more recent programmes available including the second series of Inspector Morse spin-off Lewis.

Prices are expected to start from £1.89 per episode.
