ISP Euro1Net has been cut off by BT, meaning that thousands of customers are currently without a broadband service.
According to the BBC, Euro1Net has had its service suspended because it hasn't paid BT what it owes.
Some customers have paid upfront for a two-year long broadband connection and will be contacted by the company with details of the refund procedures, the ISP said.
However, Euro1Net would not comment further on the situation "due to possible legal action against BT".
Ofcom, the telecoms watchdog, is keeping an eye on the dispute and said people affected would be able to sign up for a replacement broadband service through a different provider from 5 September, the BBC reported.
